Rivulets
Of light intertwined
Composed of all our lives
Yours and mine
'suppose that's why it's so tragic
Now it's all disconnected
Refracted
Inactive

This idea meant to distance
To save from potential fatal attraction
Our population as it's convinced...
That our best option is absence

Or is the best option absent?
Is this truly our protection from what was heaven-sent?

The earth breathes
Sunlight gleaming
The birds soaring freely
Nature increasing
Isn't that why it's so tragic?
This is how it is when we're disconnected
Uninhabited
Magnificence

This idea meant to distance
As it revitalizes our planet's essence
Our population as it's convinced...
That the best option was our existence

Or do we harm more than we heal with our presence?
Perhaps this plague is some form of punishment?

;

Looking out the window
Cherry blossoms fall as apocalyptic snow
Over barren streets once replete
Teeming, seemingly

The life that once graced this place
Seemingly erased
As we're hidden away
We're all confined to stay the same

/

But as "our world" remains barren
A sun of hope shows on the horizon
Reconnection of what was refracted
Healing of what was damaged

From the dark side of tragedy
Comes a dawn of warmth and magnanimity
Embrace the daybreak with practicality
And together we'll greet a new day, fervently

.

There is hope on the horizon
Though it may not seem it
I hope that, in time
You will believe it

"Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls." - Anais Nin
