What If I Told You... (2018)

Sometimes it's best to just rip up the ticket
Say it's not worth it, find something different

Sometimes it's safer to say no
Where the other people go, you don't care if you know

Sometimes it's best to stay home
Never lost or alone, always know where to go

Sometimes it's safer to never wonder
No unknown to ponder, no danger to wander

Sometimes it's best to give up before it begins
Sometimes it's safe if that's how it ends

Sometimes it's best to stay the same course
Sometimes it's safe to avoid what you're worth

Or maybe that's all misdirection
Maybe that's fear dropping disinformation
Spreading hazy delusions to create insurrection
Against betterment of your personal constitution

What if I told you that there's something more?
That there's lore and contour behind this closed door?
That all it takes is bravery, earnest reverie, craving to explore?
The ability and the proclivity to transcend the given norm?

What if I told you that you are different?
Would you believe it? Reach out and embrace it?
Or would you shy away from your transcendence?
Say it's not worth it? Rip up the ticket?

There are worlds out there you have yet to know
Sights untold waiting - resplendent and bold
And if you journey to seek them in lieu of growing old
Then the life you will lead will be worth more than gold

---

You are capable of everything you dream you can be
And you will experience life for everything it is
With everything that you are
Or will become

"Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls." - Anais Nin
